Believe – Speak

Grasshoppers are jumping insects who escape from threats by leaping away from danger. I was not created in the image of an insect – so why do I find myself leaping away from life’s struggles in fear?

How often have I scurried away from a challenge because my vision of the threat was bigger than the threat actually was? How many times have I fearfully flitted away from opportunities because I doubted the gifting God placed in me to accomplish the goal set before me?

How much life have I lost because I allowed others to determine who I am and what I am worth?

I am tired of leaping away from opportunities and improperly assessing the size of the challenges life presents to me because of fear. I will no longer waste another day entertained, entranced, entangled and engulfed by the toxic reactions, retractions, redactions or rejections of others.

I will choose to pay attention to God’s plan for my life and tune in to God’s vision for my future. I want to see this fearfully, wonderfully made individual that God says I am spring to life in spite of the odds standing before me. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Through faith in Christ, I will choose to see myself as greater than my enemies, stronger than my challenges and mightier than my opposition so that I will be the narrator of my story.

I will no longer view myself as less than, but more than…a grasshopper. I will eagerly embrace God’s strategies for my life, so that I am equipped to win every battle and vanquish any enemy – no matter what I look like in their eyes. (Numbers 13:33)

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
