Have you ever walked in the ‘garden with God’ and talked with Him and then when He calls you out on your ‘stuff’/illuminated your understanding on your mess, (i.e., your sins, iniquities, transgressions, bad choices, poor decisions, faux pas, mistakes – whatever you want to call them) – calling you out because He wants to extend His Grace, but instead of accepting His Grace you get upset?
You are afronted because you came to God to ‘fix-it’ and instead He tells you what you need to change and so you go on the defensive. You blame everybody else, or your self-contrived circumstances, or your ‘reaped’ trouble in lieu of acknowledging the fact that you are where you are because of the choices you made, the things you accepted.
Like Adam and Eve we so often blame the folk around us, (e.g., the one’s who left us, the ‘snakes’ we invited into our ‘garden’, or the One who brought you into the world [father/mother]); if we really feeling ‘froggy’/sorry for ourselves and become extremely defensive we have the audacity to blame God for not saving us/preventing the mess we created in the first place.
God’s patience is so wonderful.
When we come to our senses, God is always waiting to heal us from our self-inflicted injuries. He is ever ready to forgive and liberate us from the ‘fruit’ of our choices. His GRACE that leads us to repentance allows us to once again walk in the garden with Him.
GOD is Wonderful.
