Hello! Like so many of you – I wear multiple hats, (i.e., wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, etc.). I relish many things – spending time with family and friends; finding humor in the smallest things, eating good food, and relaxing on a swing in the back yard with my hubby. People tell me I laugh a lot – but I have learned through various hardships and victories in life laughter helps – so I laugh wherever I find humor. (Proverbs 17:22). I also love to read the Word of God and listen to various ministries to glean what the Lord reveals to empower, enlighten and encourage.  Understanding the Word of God and searching for and applying the nuggets God provides just makes all of life so much better.  (Proverbs 25:2) I so look forward to laughing, talking, thinking, crying and enjoying life with you on this blog! May God, bless you and keep you…may God’s face shine upon each of you…. (Numbers 6:24 – 26)

Father Knows Best

Have you ever felt like whatever you were going through…at that moment…that it was just too much? (Matthew 8:26)

Have you like myself then recited that oft quoted scripture, “God will never put on you more than you can bear” and then walked forward in faith believing that God was going to turn it around in your favor? For surely God understands that any other turn-around/answer to your prayer would be unbearable? (I Corinthians 10:13[KJV])

Why is it that we conveniently ignore the heart wrenching, earth-shattering examples in the Word that remind us that our Heavenly Father determines what is too much for us to bear and that sometimes the ‘way of escape’ is not the way we would choose. (Luke 22:42, II Samuel 12:16-23, I Corinthians 10:13[KJV])

The crux of the matter is that as believers in the infallible Word of God, we have to remember that HIS ways are not our ways and that HIS thoughts are not our thoughts and that GOD will not always turn ‘it’ around in what we believe to be ‘our favor’. (Isaiah 55:8 – 9 [KJV])

It is so wonderful to KNOW that our Father equips us to stand when He guides us thru ‘turns’ we do not wish to take. It is exhilarating when we comprehend that with each turn, WE LEARN to run the race set before us with PATIENCE by STANDING on FAITH-filled confidence in the Father WHO WILL bring us to HIS EXPECTED END. Let us all therefore more readily accept the ‘turns’ He leads us thru because we KNOW that GOD watches over us. (Ephesians 6:14 -17, Hebrews 12:1 – 2, Psalm 121:4 [KJV])

We must TRUST that our FATHER KNOWS BEST. (Job 13:15 [KJV])
