Believe – Speak

Purpose

Purpose

MiConfessions blog was created to remind and encourage each of us about the power of our words. The lower case “i” in MiConfessions is indicative of our part in confessing truth over our lives and should remind us that what we think is not as powerful as what God has proclaimed.

We must learn to speak what God has said about us.

God said our words have power. This fact is remarkable – what is even more astonishing is that we generally fail to realize how powerful our words truly are.

God has placed examples throughout His Word about the consequences of our words. He has given us the power to speak life or death over our lives. What we choose to speak is over our lives is up to us.

Jesus said that we have the power to speak to the mountain and it will be removed into the sea. Jesus said that we shall have what we speak. Jesus said that what so ever we ask the Father in His Name we shall receive. THIS…is POWERFUL…yet how often do we forget that Jesus said this?

In life we all encounter obstacles, challenges, barriers and forks in the road (OCBFRs). Before we even begin to seek to overcome our OCBFRs, we must be careful of the words we utter during the process so that our words do not become sharp arrows which pierce our soul and allow discouragement to take root in our hearts.

It is so easy to forget that we have a Mighty God right there with us when the OCBFRs of life appear more ‘real’ than the God Who walks with us. (Psalm 23)

We must strive to encourage ourselves and each other to Believe and Speak what God says and not what “i” says about our OCBFRs.(II Corinthians 4:13)
